Firefox - A Non-Free Software?

#1

Just going through the gnu.org website,I got a point that Mozilla Firefox is listed upon the proprietary software along with Chrome and IE

The kind of work the community does is a great thing, but just to make sure that it doesn’t carry away in a wrong path,we must make sure about the Freedoms limited by the software and about its licenses.

More about this on - http://www.gnu.org/software/for-windows.html

GNU IceCat is the GNU version of the Firefox browser. Its main advantage is an ethical one: it is entirely free software. While the Firefox source code from the Mozilla project is free software, they distribute and recommend non-free software as plug-ins and addons. Also their trademark license restricts distribution in several ways incompatible with freedom 0.

It depends on how you see it. To my understanding trademark, addon, plugin should not be a issue.
