#1

This is an attempt to list down the books available on Freedom of Knowledge, Free Software, Free Culture & all other ideas associated with Commons (eg: Creative commons, Public Domain, etc.,).

@Shrinivasan_T Great. I missed those two good books. I have appended to the main list after your suggestion.

Excellent!

These characters were added because this stupid software won’t accept a post less than 20 characters.

An absolute goldmine! A list of some of the best books and movies to do with free software, privacy and free culture in 2014. Some of these are already on the list. Most of them are not.

The list here is getting quite big. We should sort them out based on topic perhaps and ideally, give one-line descriptions. Will work on an idea for this.

@prashere . How about we download all the books/documentaries which are under sharable license and share them via a mesh during our conference ?

Adding to the List - Commons Transition (Policy Proposals for Commons Society)

folks… is it ok to add… “wages of impunity” by K.G. Kannabiran… it is an eye opener, and literally the publications have stopped printing it… i think

I have not read that book, so I cannot comment on whether to add it or not. If you can justify why it has to be added with here under this title “Free Software, Free Culture & Commons”, that would give a clue to others as well.
